The Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School is seeking candidates to fill the position of Upper School STEM Specialist and Robotics Coach (grades 6-12) for the 2016-2017 academic year.
The successful candidate will work directly with the Upper School Administrative Team and faculty to develop and implement exciting STEM experiences and curricula that foster creative thinking and innovation. The ideal candidate will excel in teaching STEM-related content at both the middle and high school level, designing and articulating middle and high school STEM curricula and programming, organizing professional development opportunities in STEM education, and integrating STEM learning experiences across subjects. The candidate must possess an advanced degree in a STEM-related field, with a minimum of five years
teaching STEM or a STEM-related field at the middle and/or high school level. An MA in education or a STEM certification is preferred but not required.
